eth_getTransactionReceipt on Optimism
Returns the receipt of a mined transaction: status, gas used, logs, and the contract address if it was a deployment. Null until the transaction is mined.
The authoritative outcome signal: status 0x1 = success, 0x0 = revert. On OP-Stack/L2 chains the receipt also carries l1Fee fields, so read the receipt (not gasUsed × gasPrice) for true cost.

eth_getTransactionReceipt on Optimism — FAQ
How do I call eth_getTransactionReceipt on Optimism?
POST a JSON-RPC 2.0 request with "method": "eth_getTransactionReceipt" to NodeFlare's Optimism endpoint at https://rpc.nodeflare.app/op/public. No API key is required for the public endpoint.
What does eth_getTransactionReceipt cost on the free tier?
eth_getTransactionReceipt is weighted at 2 compute units per call. The free tier includes 2,000,000 CU/month, so that is roughly 1,000,000 eth_getTransactionReceipt calls per month — no credit card.
Is eth_getTransactionReceipt available on the public Optimism endpoint?
Yes. eth_getTransactionReceipt works on the public Optimism endpoint (https://rpc.nodeflare.app/op/public) with no API key, rate-limited per IP. A free key adds higher limits and a dedicated path.
Anything Optimism-specific to know when using eth_getTransactionReceipt?
As the OP Stack pioneer, Optimism transactions carry an L1 data fee on top of L2 execution. Read the receipt's l1Fee fields for the true total cost.
